Leadership Opportunity — Not Just Another Retail Job

We’re looking for an experienced, dependable, customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team at The UPS Store in Peoria.

You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, develop employees, solve customer problems, and help ensure the store runs smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who wants to learn the business, take ownership, develop the team, and grow into greater responsibility.

Compensation & Growth

$20–$22/hour based on experience

Quarterly performance reviews
Opportunity for pay increases based on performance and responsibility
Opportunity to take on additional management responsibilities
Potential transition to a 5-day work schedule after approximately 6 months
The goal is for the Assistant Manager to develop and train the team so responsibilities can increasingly be delegated. As the team becomes stronger and more independent, the Assistant Manager may be able to transition to a 5-day schedule.

Schedule changes depend on staffing, training, store needs, and the employee’s ability to successfully develop and delegate responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, train, coach, and support employees
Lead by example in customer service and professionalism
Domestic and international shipping
Amazon returns
Packing fragile and valuable items
Mailbox services
Notary services
Printing, copying, and document finishing
UPS operational procedures and compliance
Basic equipment and technology troubleshooting
What We’re Looking For

Required

Current Arizona Notary Public commission OR willingness to obtain one immediately
Strong customer-service and communication skills
Leadership or supervisory experience
Strong computer and technology skills
Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation
Weekend availability initially
Relevant backgrounds include: retail management, banking, FedEx Office, Staples, Office Depot, shipping/logistics, hospitality, office management, and customer-service supervision.

We’re particularly interested in people who can lead a team, handle difficult customers, manage money, solve problems, and take ownership.
