Military Affairs Committee

The Military Affairs Committee (MAC) is here to serve the city of Peoria and the West Valley by assisting veteran owned businesses, active duty, reserve, and national guard service members, future military service members, veterans, and their families. The Peoria Chamber values service in all branches of the military and recognizes the importance of providing opportunities to spotlight programs and services that benefit the Peoria and West Valley communities. Additionally, the Peoria Chamber maintains a strong partnership with Luke Air Force Base and supports its Wing Orientation program – an opportunity for members of the Chamber to provide flyers, brochures, and other information that is given to each person during their orientation.

Our Military Affairs Committee is led by Committee Chair Mik Milem, Executive Director of Soldier’s Best Friend. Committee meetings are held the last Wednesday of every month from 4:30pm – 5:30pm at Soldier’s Best Friend, located at 14505 N. 75th Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85381. We encourage you to attend our meetings to learn more about how you can support our military community.

Mik Milem representing, Soldier’s Best Friend, proudly serves as Chair of the Peoria Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee. With a strong background in nonprofit leadership, education, and veteran support, Mik brings a wealth of experience and compassion to our committee. He’s passionate about helping veterans on their healing journey and continues to lead with purpose through his work with Soldier’s Best Friend.
