WHTI Deadline Approaches!

Beginning June 1, 2009, U.S. and Canadian citizens will need a passport or other WHTI compliant document to enter and re-enter the United States by land or sea from the United States, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Bermuda.  WHTI has been in effect for air travel since January of 2007.  Some of the WHTI approved documents are a passport, a passport card (PassCard), a NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST trusted traveler program card, a state issued enhanced driver’s license, such as Washington state’s EDL. 

Children under the age of 16 only need a birth certificate.  For a full list of WHTI compliant documents and other exceptions, please visit:
