The Tiny Soldier
Patriotic Infant Clothing and Custom Embroidery
The Tiny Solidier provides more than 30 different patriotic designs, including every branch of the service in male and female versions, plus yellow ribbons and other images. Civil servants such as firefighters have also been added to its list of honorees. The adorable stick figure characters are all named after famous military leaders and other servants of the people. The Tiny Soldier logo is named Sherman, for example, after the Civil War's General William Tecumseh Sherman. The designs can be embroidered on a selection of children's onesies, shirts, caps, bibs, gowns and bloomers. Personalized metal civilian dog tags with colorful silencers also are available.
Our goal is to pass patriotism on to kids everywhere and make it fun. In addition, we feel this might defuse some of the negative attitudes toward service men and women that are heartbreaking for their children to see. The Tiny Soldier wants to help kids feel proud of their parents who serve. A child should be able to say proudly, "That's my daddy. He's a Marine.' "
From the beginning, The Tiny Soldier committed five percent of all profits from to support troops overseas through Operation Gratitude. This volunteer organization sends care packages overseas addressed to individual soldiers to lift morale and put smiles on the faces of those who serve. The packages contain food, hygiene products, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with good wishes, love and support. On its Web site, The Tiny Solider encourages customers to write letters of gratitude to troops. Find out more about Operation Gratitude at www.opgratitude.com.
Half of The Tiny Soldier's profits are earned creating custom embroidery for sports teams, businesses and civic groups. The product selection includes personalized gifts, such as monogrammed towels. Customers can bring in their own clothing and cloth items, such as diaper bags and tote bags, to be embroidered. "We are very creative," Janell says, "and we can help you design a perfect embroidered item that's exactly what you're looking for."
