An Old Town Get-Away, a 1915 bungalow, set in teh hear of Peoria's Historic District, is a welcoming place for crafters of all types to get away and complete projects they normally wouldn't be able to do around the house. come and relax in this quiet home-like setting furnished with lots of work space, comfortable living room for relaxing or browsing craft magazines, and beds for weekend getaways.
This is a great venue to hold a family celebration, a women's weekend retreat, networking meetings, craft and instructional classes, girl scout troupe meetings, and much more. It is only listed by your imagination. Did I mention we have WIFI and a printer available for your use? Other welcome events are: small group meetings, Bible study groups, committee meetings, bridal showers, and much, much more. WE welcome scrapbookers, quilters, beaders, book clubs, stampers, knitters/crocheter/needlework groups. Digital scrapbookers Not limited to these particular groups.
In our main area there is a large conference table that will hold up to 8-10 people, perfect for laying your projects out on or holding a power networking meeting. There is a comfortable living off of the main area where you can relax but still be in the conversation. A room off to the side has 3 6' portabel tables, with a Cricut machine, a sewing machine, printer, an some basic crafting supplies.
Two bedrooms have bunk beds in them, making a comfortable space for up to 10 ladies. The kitchen is available for your use and when it cools down, we have a beautiful back garden area, complete with a gas BBQ. ample seating and the perfect settinmg for a small wedding or reception, extended family gathering and anything else you need to have a space to host.
The Get-Away welcomes a maximum of ten (10) people to come for a weekend or a three-day getaway during the week. Take a class or come to work in a quiet place where you will be uninterrupted by outside responsibilities.
A weekend getaway (5PM Friday until 2PM Sunday): $400 plus tax (10 people max). Coffee provided. On-site kitchen for cooking meals, or nearby restaurants avaiable for ordering in.
