Our Returning Veterans Outreach Programs RE: "The Old Breed Helping The New Breed"
The First Marine Division Association (FMDA) is a non-profit association where Marines and Sailors who now serve, or have served, come together as a "Family of Warriors" and share that unexplained quality known as "Esprit de Corps." In the Spirit, the "Older Brothers" of our family stand ready to mentor our younger brothers and sisters and assist their children with our programs. We also stand ready to help returning veterans relocate after active service, find employment, and receive the benefits of services that have been promised to them. I is within the guise of being "Older Brothers" that the funding opportunities lay. This is the "Old Breed taking care of the New Breed."
"Our returning Veterans Outreach Programs", 501(c)(19) are given to qualified individuals families who served int he First Marine Division or were attached to, in support of the Division, killed in action or permanently disabled.
The Outreach Programs help veterans find employment after their active service by aiding them with vocational training. Assistance is given in finding sites for specific training such as law enforcement, paramedics, nursing, etc. There is also financial help given for the class registration. These programs can help make such a difference for those veterans and their families.
