I earned my Master’s Degree in Communication Studies from Arizona State University. As a consultant, speaker and educator, I love sharing my knowledge and expertise through various avenues with the intent of helping people understand the vital role communication plays in all of our relationships.
Family communication is my passion and focus. I developed and utilize both
a seminar and an in-home training format which teaches families how to improve communication through a proactive process. I emphasize the processes, dynamics, and outcomes of communication in our everyday lives.
Below is a list of services I offer to families, individuals, employees, or any other group.
Classes:
Topics for classes range from speaking and listening specifics to interpersonal and conflict issues. One individual class can touch on a variety of topics. A series of classes can cover many topics in depth.
In Home Session:
Focused on teaching the family how to conduct family meetings, the in home session will improve communication by focusing on skills and interaction of family members. This session does not need a family communication analysis.
Family Communication Analysis:
This analysis occurs in your home to evaluate where the problems are with communication among family members. As a result of the evaluation, I am able to create a series of classes focused on certain topics, which will address any problem areas in order to improve communication through specific skills.
Seminar:
The seminar teaches participants how to successfully conduct family meetings, which will improve and increase communication. I emphasize the format and benefits of family meetings, how to deal effectively with conflict, what can affect family meetings, as well as some specific communication tools to improve communication. This seminar can be given to an audience of any size – large or small.
