Networking groups are effective marketing tools for employers and employees to create, grow and maintain business relationships.  The Peoria Chamber of Commerce offers four networking groups each month.  

To have a successful networking group, businesses exchange information, share ideas and support.  The key is to listen and focus on how you can help the person you are meeting, rather than how they can help you.  The more we understand someone’s business, the better we can promote and refer their business or service.  Referring other business leads to reciprocation. Networking results may not happen immediately, however establishing new business connections will result in beneficial business relationships.  

Business networking through the Peoria Chamber is included with the membership.  This cost-effective marketing tool involves more of a personal time commitment than money.  You can choose to attend all four of the networking groups, pick several or attend the one that works within your work schedule.  

One networking group meets the first and third Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. This large networking group of 30 – 45 business representatives often features a “spotlight business” offering a 10 – 15 minute presentation.  A continental breakfast is provided for only $4 to start your workday. On the third Wednesday of each month a networking group is offered during the noon hour in which you can bring your own lunch. This networking group is classroom style and each attendee gains the experience of speaking in front of a classroom.  All audio/visual equipment is also provided for businesses wanting to visually showcase their business.  The second Thursday of the month is Connecting the Chamber and Community held at The Tasting Room in Vistancia.  This networking group brings two other networking groups together and offers brief education on what’s happening in your Peoria community.  Each networking group provides unique and valuable connections.  What networking group or groups works best for you to create new business opportunities?
